Wat Phra Sri Sanphet
Wat Phra Si Sanphet is located close to the centre of the main island of Ayutthaya's Historical Park. It is the largest temple in Ayutthaya with a line of chedis being its most noticeable feature. It formerly housed a 16m Buddha covered in gold, but that was melted down during the Burmese invasion. This temple was one of the most significant, being the home for any royal ceremonies during the Ayutthaya era.
