Wat Ratchaburana
Wat Ratchaburana stands out, literally, as you approach Ayutthaya, with recently restored 'prang'. You can climb inside the prang and enjoy the views, or follow a staircase down to 2 remaining rooms with authentic paintings on their walls. It was here that a large collection of gold statues was found in 1958.
