Ayutthaya Transport

As Ayuthaya is located just to the north of Bangkok, there are plenty of excellent transport routes. Many visitors will visit by road, using one of the numerous taxi or minibus services, or by hire car.
A popular alternative is the train which takes you to the edge of the island, a short distance from the main sites. Ayutthaya train station is on the main northbound train route out of Hua Lampong Train Station.
Another alternative is the bus, which runs regularly from Mor Chit Bus Station in Bangkok to the Main Bus Station in Ayuthaya. There is an alternative bus station for travellers coming from the north, but again it is a short tuk tuk ride into the main city.
