Democracy Monument
Democracy monument was erected in 1932 to commemorate the change from absolute monarchy to a constitutional monarchy. It's art deco style was designed by Corrado Feroci an Italian artist who emigrated to Thailand. In the base 75 canonballs are buried representing the year 2475 (the Buddhist calendar equivalent to 1932). Democracy monument at times draws crowds of protesters.
