Royal Elephant Museum

The Royal Elephant Museum is in a couple of stables that once housed white (albino) Royal Elephants. White elephants are rare so they were once kept in the special royal stables, now the elephants have moved to more natural locations in the north leaving the stables as a museum to the role elephants have played through history. Elephants have of course been successfully used as war machines, but they are generally gentle and docile when in family groups. The museum is located in the same Dusit Palace grounds as the Vimanmek Teak Mansion and the Abhisek Dusit Throne Hall.
