Ko Ratanakosin
Ko Ratanakosin is an area of Bangkok enclosed in a bend in the Chao Phraya River, and a canal cutting across Bangkok. The area is key to Bangkok's tourist attractions, with many key locations enclosed in the area. The Royal Palace, along with Wat Phra Kaew is in the middle, next to Sanam Luang. The impressive reclining Buddha at Wat Pho is also worth a visit. Another temple, Wat Arun, isn't quite on Ko Ratanakosin, but overlooks it from the western bank of the Chao Phraya River. As well as temples, there are museums, with the Thai National Museum and the Thai Royal Barges Museum.
Other Attractions: Lak Muang Wat Mahathat
