Wat Arun

Wat Arun translates as Temple of the Dawn, because the early morning sunlight reflecting off the temple surface is an impressive site. The temple is one of the few reasons that tourists venture accross to the western bank of the Chao Phraya River, but it is reason enough! Take a river boat along the river to approach the temple with stunning views. The full name of the temple is Wat Arunratchawararam Ratchaworamahavihara, but lets leave it as Wat Arun, arguably one of Bangkok's most spectacular temples. Make sure to spot the amusingly mis-translated sign by the entrance.
