Wat Pho
Wat Pho is one of Bangkok's most famous temples, located just south of Sanam Luang, the Royal Palace and Wat Phra Kaew, it's home to the massive reclining Buddha, and draws many visitors each year.

The highlight of Wat Pho is the impressive golden reclining Buddha, which visitors file past daily in awe. The reclining Buddha is 46 metres long and 15 metres high. Once accustomed to the sheer size of the statue, the visit includes an inspection of the Buddha's feet, which are a mother of pearl spectacle - not to be missed on any Bangkok trip.

There is more to Wat Pho temple than the reclining Buddha, and while visiting you should take the time to explore the rest of the temple grounds. The temple is the birthplace of traditional Thai massage, and there is still a massage school there. There are plenty of other statues to interest even the most "templed out" tourist.
