Pattaya and the Eastern Seaboard

Pattaya is a city with an international reputation. While its natural beauty is now hidden behind over development, Pattaya has a lot to offer and is a popular destination. The resort grew massively as an R and R location for the US army during the Vietnam war. Following on from this, Pattaya has gained a reputation as a sex destination, with any taste or preference catered for. At night the party city becomes alive with neon lights, bars, girls, boys and other!

But, while Pattaya's reputation is built on this industry, it has a lot more to offer, and is rapidly establishing itself as a sporting destination.There are 20 world class golf courses within easy reach of Pattaya, as well as the vast array of water sports along the cities beach. There is a water ski-ing lake, while the sea is awash with wind surfers, banana boats and kite surfers.

The Western Seaboard around Pattaya is a location with a huge variety of activities. The region has plenty of industry, with a tagline as the detroit of Asia, and much of the industry moves through the Laem Chabang seaport just north of Pattaya. To the south is the industrious town of Rayong, which is close to some of Thailands best islands. Koh Samet, in easy reach of Bangkok is a popular weekend destination, and a great place to unwind. Further along Koh Chang is a quieter retreat.
