Patong Beach

Patong is probably the most famous town / beach in Phuket. It's the party capital of the island, and attracts throngs of visitors all year around. There are hundreds of hotels, restaurants, beer bars and discos. The nightlife is centred around soi Bangla, but everywhere you look you'll find entertainment venues. Soi Bangla runs from beach road away from the sea to Rat Uthit 200 Pi, which is parallel with Beach Road. There are numerous other connecting roads, all of which are lined with bars. Towards either end of the beach, you can find some more relaxed resorts, which allow easy access to the nightlife, while a slightly more peaceful retreat.

How to get to Patong Beach

The main access to Patong is over the mountain road from Kathu. Head towards the Phuket Country Club golf course, and then up over the mountain to Patong. Alternatively beach road connects Kammala Beach to Karon Beach.
