Rawai Beach

The beaches on Phuket's east coast are not as attractive as those on the west coast, but Rawai beach is Phuket's original tourist destination. In past years, locals from Phuket city would travel to Rawai rather than cross the dangerous mountain roads. Now it is more of a staging post for boat trips, but it still has its fair share of high quality resorts.

How to get to Rawai Beach

Continue south down the 4024, Rawai beach is past Chalong Bay around 17km from Phuket City.
