Southern Thailand
Southern Thailand occupies a long narrow strip of land extending towards the Malaysian peninsula. To the east is the Gulf of Thailand, while to the west is the Andaman sea - both coasts have plenty to offer. Southern Thailand hosts a truly diverse environment, including the stunning beauty of Krabi province, the popular island tourist destinations of Phuket, Koh Samui and Koh Phangan, and the currently dangerous separatist states of Pattani, Yala and Narathiwat.

Krabi offers easy sea access to islands such as Koh Phi Phi, Koh Lanta and to Phuket.

While the city of Krabi itself isn't so attractive, many visitors to the region are drawn to the beaches around Krabi, particularly Rai Leh, Had Yao and Ao Nang. As well as great beaches, Rai Leh offers spectacular rock climbing making it a very popular destination.
